WHAT TO EXPECT

 

I provide 1:1 sessions that are delivered face to face in a private office which offers a calm environment and a safe space for individuals to explore issues and set realistic goals that we can work towards together. The nature and the structure of each session is dependent on both the individual client preferences and their presenting problems. Together, at the beginning of each session, we will agree on an agenda that will roughly determine the content to be covered. Session styles can vary from talking and listening, using aids such as worksheets and information, and making use of the whiteboard for further exploring different concepts. Client feedback is welcomed at the end of each session to increase the maximum value and impact.  

 

I am also able to offer telephone sessions for clients who are time constrained or who simply prefer to work from the comfort of their own home

 

The number of sessions required is dependent on each client and can vary based on different factors including complexity of problems and progress. The minimum number of sessions is normally around eight. However, some individuals do require fewer and others may require substantially more. I work together with my clients to build  a treatment plan that can be adapted and adjusted as we progress. Appointments are normally given weekly but discretion is used with each individual to decide on frequency. 

 

My office is situated next to Westerton train station in Bearsden. There is free parking on site, both in front of and behind the building.
